Engineers and Staff: Best Early Priorities

By “Giok90” Giovanni Di Mare

Engineers are Special Rewards from selected events. Assigning an Engineer unlocks permanent bonuses in progression chains, so placement order matters: the strongest early investments improve every race, while Car Dealer and Workshop bonuses become more valuable later.

Recommended Engineer priority

  1. World Map bonuses first. Start with Unlimited Bonus (+10% Credits after a race with a Perfect Unlimited Score), then Events Race Credits (+8% Credits from events). Continue the same chain with Clean Section Rewards, which grants +12% Unlimited points for each Clean Section, and Race Bonus Materials, which grants +15% more materials from events.
  2. This is the strongest general-purpose Engineer path because it improves Credits, makes the Unlimited Bar easier to fill through Clean Sections, and finally increases material income. All four benefits remain useful regardless of which car or event type you are using.

The two Credit bonuses are especially strong early because typical race payouts are already high enough for percentage bonuses to outperform Parking Lot Revenue when the garage contains only one or two cars.

Base rewardBonus valueMeaning
12,500 G1,250 GBreak-even for +10% vs one parked car
15,625 G1,250 GBreak-even for +8% vs one parked car
20,000 G2,000 G / 1,600 G+10% / +8% respectively

Second priority: Car Dealer bonuses

  • Use the Car Dealer chain when Career progression begins to require a larger collection, especially for class-specific events. Parking Lot Revenue pays 1,250 G after every race for each car placed in a parking space, so it scales with garage size.
  • Brand Collector Bonus grants a 2,500 G bonus multiplied by the brand’s total number of models after you own every model from that brand, and only applies when racing a car from that brand. Universal Car Discount, at the end of the chain, gives all Car Dealer vehicles a permanent 10% price reduction.

Third priority: facility-specific Staff

  • Most performance facilities use a similar Staff chain: Upgraded Parts makes parts crafted in that Workshop grant higher performance stats; Efficient Engineering reduces their material cost by 15%; and GCX Final Upgrade makes GCX upgrades cost only Prototypes.
  • These bonuses are valuable once you are investing heavily in a specific Workshop, but they are less universal than the World Map bonuses, so they should generally come later.
  • Wheels is the main exception: its Staff chain also includes Unlock Brake Upgrades, which opens braking-system upgrades in that Workshop.
Early priority Use the first Engineers to strengthen income. Parking and Workshop-specialist bonuses become more valuable later, when you own more cars or start spending heavily on performance parts.
