How to Start the Career — Recommended Route

By “Giok90” Giovanni Di Mare
  1. Finish Chapter 1 and preserve the opening economy. Complete the three introductory races and enter Chapter 2 with 53,000 G.
  2. Buy the Subaru BRZ ’21. At 34,000 G it leaves enough cash to absorb the first facility expenses without sacrificing a strong starter car.
  3. Do not upgrade immediately. Use the stock BRZ while the early Chapter 2 events are still comfortable. Higher opponent ratings alone are not a reason to spend materials.
  4. Drive for Unlimited. Aim for clean sections and a high Unlimited Bar in every event. A full bar doubles material rewards.
  5. Prioritize the World Map Engineer chain. Take Unlimited Bonus, Events Race Credits, Clean Section Rewards and Race Bonus Materials before spending Engineers on more situational branches. Move to Car Dealer bonuses when the Career starts demanding a larger garage, then invest in facility-specific Staff once you are building higher-tier parts regularly.
  6. Unlock the functional facilities. After five Chapter 2 events, begin building Mechanic, Wheels and Body, then add the Wind Tunnel when it becomes available.
  7. Use the first real difficulty increase as the upgrade trigger. The first major warning sign is when the BRZ’s winning margin falls sharply rather than when a higher-rated rival appears.
  8. Install the complete Level 1 package. Upgrade Engine, Tires, Body and Aero together. The balanced package improves pace and drivability instead of creating a powerful but unbalanced car.
  9. Keep the BRZ until it genuinely becomes the limitation. After the full Level 1 package, the BRZ can still win comfortably against higher-rated cars. In a Beat the Clock event the upgraded car finished with 21.765 seconds remaining, and a later race against higher-rated opponents — including a car around 346 — was won by roughly ten seconds.
  10. Treat facility levels as permanent Career investments. When you later buy another car, the Workshop structure levels already purchased remain available for that vehicle. Only the individual parts need to be bought again.
Recommended stopping point for early progression Once the BRZ has a balanced Level 1 setup and your main facilities are established, you have a strong base for the rest of the start of the Career mode. From there, move into Level 2 only when the current build starts to lose its advantage, or buy another car when an event requirement or a genuine performance ceiling makes the purchase worthwhile.
