Groznyj Grad is the most confusing part of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: a maze of walls, gates and patrols where it’s easy to get lost or spotted. This route gets you through quickly, which matters for a Foxhound speedrun, and it still covers every area if you are collecting everything.
Step-by-step route
- When you arrive in Groznyj Grad Southwest, right after The Fury battle, move north along the east wall and go through the north-east gate to reach Groznyj Grad Southeast.
- Walk to the vehicle and use it as cover while you move to the north side of the area. This takes you into Groznyj Grad Northeast.
- Completionist run only: walk to the south-west corner of the area and crawl under the pipes to reach Groznyj Grad Northwest, then come back to Northeast through the south-east wall. Foxhound speedrun: skip this step.
- From Groznyj Grad Northeast, go to the central north part of the area and enter the Weapons Lab East Wing.
- After you are captured and the torture scene ends, escape from the cell by calling the radio frequency 144.75 when the guard walks past the door. Run to the west exit to return to Groznyj Grad Southeast.
- Go straight to the west wall in front of you to re-enter Groznyj Grad Northeast, then walk to the south-west corner to reach Groznyj Grad Northwest.
- Head to the far exit of the area and you are out of the maze.
