Facility Philosophy
Facilities should be purchased when they unlock something the team can actually use: a cheap Facility is not automatically a good purchase if the Parts or staff behind it are still unaffordable. Conversely, Facilities that improve income or Reputation can become more valuable the earlier their bonuses are activated.
ARCA Facility Progression
Recommended Facility Upgrade Order
The first facility to do is unlock number of mechanic by 1 and cost $2,500.
Then, once the car is fully or almost fully upgraded to around Level 3 parts, the next Facility upgrade I recommend prioritizing is the PR Department. The Start PR Department upgrade costs $10,000, and hiring the PR staff member costs an additional $1,000, for a total investment of $11,000. The PR Department provides a 25% Reputation bonus, which is extremely valuable at this stage of the Career. Reputation helps unlock better sponsor opportunities and accelerates your progress toward the 25,000 Reputation required to advance to the Craftsman Truck Series. It also unlocks additional RP opportunities, making it one of the most useful upgrades for long-term Career progression.
The Vehicle Lift is also a strong Facility upgrade because it improves your repair options, but I would generally prioritize the PR Department first. At around Level 3, the car’s parts are still manageable enough that normal WP repairs usually remain sufficient. The additional Reputation from the PR Department, on the other hand, starts paying off immediately by helping you unlock stronger sponsors sooner and reach the 25,000 Reputation target faster.
Once your car is fully or almost fully upgraded with Level 4 parts, the next major Facility upgrade to prioritize is Create a Business Account. This upgrade costs $20,000 and unlocks access to Level 5 parts. At this stage of the Career, Level 5 parts represent the next major step in car performance. For this reason, I recommend purchasing Create a Business Account as soon as you have around $20,000 available and most of the car is already at Level 4. There is little benefit in delaying it for too long once Level 4 upgrades are nearly complete, since the Facility is required before you can continue.
A practical ARCA order is: increase number of mechanic by 1 → PR Department → Vehicle Lift when repair needs justify it → Create a Business Account once the car is fully or almost fully Level 4 and you are ready for Level 5 Parts.
Craftsman Truck Facility Progression
Prioritize Create HR Department for $25,000 before Create Manager Department. HR unlocks the stronger Agent, better Mechanics and a better Crew Chief, so it improves several parts of the operation at once. The new agent (cost of hiring $9,000) gives you a money bonus of 25%.
After HR and the key staff upgrades, upgrade the Create Manager Department for $35,000 and the Manager costs another $5,000 for a +10% Money bonus. The last facility to upgrade is Partner With Supply Companies for $30,000 that unlocks Level 6 Parts that cost more than $40,000.
The Purchase Every Machinery upgrade for $20,000 that unlock other two slot mechanics is to be done when you need more WP for repairing the cars.
O’Reilly Facility Progression
| Priority | Facility | Cost | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Start Corporate Outreach | $50,000 | Better sponsors and stronger income opportunities |
| 2 | Build Fabrication Shop | $75,000 | Adds two Mechanic slots for the three-car fleet |
| 3 | Create Media Branch | $125,000 | Supports long-term Reputation/media progression |
| 4 | Start R&D Department | $100,000 | Required for Level 7 Parts and higher R&D progression |
Start Corporate Outreach should be the first major O’Reilly Facility because better sponsor income is most valuable when activated early. Build Fabrication Shop follows when the three-car fleet begins to strain the existing WP pool. Create Media Branch supports the large Reputation push toward Cup. Start R&D Department should wait until Level 7 Parts are actually needed and affordable, and requires engineers to buy the parts from Level 7 onward.
NASCAR Cup Facility Progression
| Facility | Cost | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase CNC Machine | $125,000 | Adds 2 Mechanic slots |
| Build In-House Testing Lab | $175,000 | Adds 4 Engineer slots, raising the maximum from 4 to 8 |
| Create Supply Department | $250,000 | Unlocks Supply Coordinator |
| Create a Data Analysis Branch of R&D | $350,000 | Unlocks the highest R&D Part progression |
The most important economic upgrade is Create Supply Department combined with the Supply Coordinator. The Coordinator costs $150,000 and reduces Part prices by 20%. Save approximately $400,000 so the Facility and staff member can be activated together; once that threshold is reached, this discount should generally take priority over optional technical expansion.
Purchase CNC Machine follows when the four-car fleet begins to strain the existing WP pool.
Build In-House Testing Lab follows when you need to buy parts that requires a lot of R&D points and requires engineers to buy the parts.
Create a Data Analysis Branch of R&D follows when you need those parts.
