SRX: Best Sponsor and Fastest Money tells you which sponsor and which goal to pick for your season length.
Sponsorship combines a signing bonus, an advertised per-race payout and a discount on parts from a particular brand. The brand limitation is easy to overlook: a 10% sponsor discount is not a blanket discount on every upgrade.
| Sponsor | Signing bonus | Advertised per race | Discounted brand |
|---|---|---|---|
| LakeSide Media | $5,800 | $2,100 | Extra Value |
| Racing Optics | $4,400 | $3,200 | Sons of America Auto Parts |
| Eibach | $46,400 | $1,600 | Formax |
| Edelbrock | $39,400 | $3,500 | EFT |
The sponsor menu also displays Showcase objectives: LakeSide Media requires a Top 60 at Showcase 1; Racing Optics displays a Top 45 requalification requirement at Showcase 2; Eibach shows Top 30 at Showcase 3; and Edelbrock shows Top 15 at Showcase 4. The interface places these contracts in the next-season sponsor area, so a Showcase objective should not be interpreted as an immediate mid-season signing opportunity.
Sponsor cards list signing bonuses, race payouts, brand discounts and Showcase objectives.
How brand discounts change upgrade prices
For example, a Racing Optics discount of 10% applies to eligible Sons of America Auto Parts components. A listed $1,000 tyre component was displayed at $900 with the eligible discount, while a $3,750 tyre set was displayed at $3,375. The discounted price follows the brand, not the component category. Displayed dollar rounding can produce one-dollar differences from a simple calculation.
Comparing sponsor contracts
The advertised numbers can be compared with a simple planning model: total advertised value = signing bonus + (number of races × advertised race payout). This is a projection, not a guarantee that every payment is credited unconditionally or that a signing bonus can be collected again on renewal.
| Sponsor | 7 races | 10 races | 14 races | 27 races |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LakeSide Media | $20,500 | $26,800 | $35,200 | $62,500 |
| Racing Optics | $26,800 | $36,400 | $49,200 | $90,800 |
| Eibach | $57,600 | $62,400 | $68,800 | $89,600 |
| Edelbrock | $63,900 | $74,400 | $88,400 | $133,900 |
Under this model, Racing Optics overtakes LakeSide Media after two per-race payments, despite its smaller signing bonus. Eibach’s much larger signing bonus gives it an advantage over Racing Optics through 26 races, but Racing Optics moves ahead at race 27. These comparisons exclude sponsor discounts, contract availability and any payment conditions.
Short-term sponsor goals
The sponsor-goal menu presents separate challenges over a three-race window. In the recorded example, Easy required two Top 40 finishes for $480; Normal required two Top 30 finishes for $1,440; and Challenging required two Top 22 finishes for $4,320. The screen also displayed a “Better Payouts at” ranking threshold of 25th.
| Goal | Required finishes | Window | Goal payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 2 × Top 40 | 3 races | $480 |
| Normal | 2 × Top 30 | 3 races | $1,440 |
| Challenging | 2 × Top 22 | 3 races | $4,320 |
A lower goal may be preferable when the car is not yet competitive. Choosing a higher nominal reward only makes sense if the required finishes are realistically achievable.
