Stamina matters a lot in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. When it runs low your aim shakes, your health recovers slowly and your stomach growls, which can give you away to guards. Here are the best foods for stamina, every food in the game area by area, the stamina radio frequencies and how to catch the rare Tsuchinoko.

Special food
- Russian Glow Cap: eating it recharges your battery.
- Parrot: during The End battle, right in front of you at the start, or find it with the thermal goggles and the directional mic. If you release it during the fight, its voice helps you find The End.
- The Pain’s Hornet Nest: equip a normal nest and let The Pain attack you with his bees: your nest becomes The Pain’s Hornet Nest.
How to catch the Tsuchinoko
The Tsuchinoko is the hardest food to find, and you need it to collect every food and to unlock the Infinity Face Paint. The easiest method: in Graniny Gorki South, after defeating The Fear, use the sonar to find and remove every other animal in the area. Then place several mousetraps and leave. When you come back, collect whatever got caught and repeat. Eventually the Tsuchinoko ends up in a trap.
If you lose it, you can catch it again after getting your equipment back in Tikhogornij: go back outside the waterfall, no mousetraps needed. It looks like a small snake.
Stamina recovery radio frequencies
Calling these frequencies on the radio refills your stamina. Each frequency works only once per playthrough, and they change with the difficulty.
